The Lion Guardians program is a conservation initiative that aims to reduce human-lion conflict and promote coexistence between lions and local communities in Kenya and Tanzania. The program employs and trains local people, called Lion Guardians, to monitor and protect lion populations and their habitat, as well as educate their communities about the importance of conservation.
